I’m Philip Raby and I’ve been obsessed with cars since I was a young boy, and from an early age developed an affinity with Porsches, particularly 911s. I spent my teenage years rebuilding various cars from the ground up, learning how they work and what goes wrong.

I write about Porsches
For six years I was Editor in Chief of Total 911 magazine and, before that, Associate Editor of 911 & Porsche World, so I’ve been lucky enough to drive and write about all different types of Porsches.

I’ve written countless buyers’ guides on Porsches, helping people to make an informed choice when looking for a car, plus a number of books. I also run Purely Porsche - an online Porsche resource site.

I’m a Porsche owner
Not surprisingly, I’ve owned several Porsches myself and am particularly enthusiastic about the 964-model 911.

I’m married with two wonderful children and we live on the beautiful south coast of England, where I love to spend time sailing and mountain biking. It’s a great life!
